Reservation Consultant

The Head Office in Pretoria East is seeking a reservation consultant that meets the following requirements:

Friendly and well presented
Professional telephone etiquette with excellent communication skills
Organised with great admin skills
English as a 1st language is essential. A 2nd African or international language will be an advantage
Computer literate, (previous experience with the PANStrat system will be an advantage)
Able to work under pressure
Able to work on the occasional weekend and public holiday

Your responsibilities will include:

Answering telephone calls and attending to all telephonic queries
Answering e-mails and attending to e-mail queries
Processing of bookings from start to finish by obtaining all required information from the agent and client
Remaining in constant contact with agents and clients regarding their bookings
Ensuring all payments are received accordingly
Ensuring that all work is up to date at all times
Assist when other consultants are out of the office or on leave

Previous experience is not necessarily required but will be an advantage. A relevant qualification will also be an advantage.
Extensive training on the reserve itself as well as the reservation system will be provided.

Field Guides

Kapama Game Reserve is looking for qualified Field Guides. The position of Field Guide requires good verbal and written communication and a passion for the natural environment. The primary role of a Field Guide is to host guided tours either on foot or in vehicles for the guests of Kapama Private Game Reserve. Field Guides need to be professional and neat in personal appearance and image. Well developed people and communication skills are essential.

The required qualifications for this position are:

Junior Field Guide

  1. P.D.P. (Professional Driver Permit)
  2. First aid level 1
  3. F.G.A.S.A. level 1
  4. T.H.E.T.A. qualification
  5. D.E.A.T. registration
  6. S.A.S.S.E.T.A. certification
  7. Six months guiding experience in a big 5 game reserve

Field Guide

  1. P.D.P. (Professional Drivers Permit)
  2. First aid level 1/2
  3. F.G.A.S.A. level 2
  4. T.H.E.T.A. qualification
  5. D.E.A.T. registration
  6. S.A.S.S.E.T.A. certification
  7. One and a half years guiding experience in a big 5 game reserve
  8. Trail guide (theory and back up trails qualification)
  9. Advanced weapons-handling qualification

Senior Field Guide

  1. P.D.P. (Professional Drivers Permit)
  2. First aid level 1/2/3
  3. F.G.A.S.A. level 2/3
  4. T.H.E.T.A. qualification
  5. D.E.A.T. registration
  6. S.A.S.S.E.T.A. certification
  7. Two and a half years guiding experience in a big 5 game reserve
  8. Full trail guide qualification
  9. Advanced weapons-handling qualification
